Would be a better game if there were a story(like saving the girl from marring angry admiral ;) ). I have finished it in 3 hours (got the most powereful ship with full upgrades). Trick/tipp: you use hit and run tactic. As soon as you see that the enemy turns to fire, you turn, continue turning fire, continue turning, get away. Even if the enemy manages to fire, you will be already far away from his guns. You finish 2 areas, get the third ship in a store (3d from the left, you dont need too buy the other two). Then upgrade it too the fullest. Now you can easily go to 8th area and get the most powereful ship unlocked. There are 3 waves of ships. Try to spare and help 2 you other ships. E.g. during the first wave try to be the closest to the enemy, they shoot at you but not at your other ships. By now you should be able to play well. (i used touch navigation, you can change it in settings). One more trick. You come as close as possible to the ship and "sit" on its tail. So that you are 90 degrees to it. It turns in circle, so do you. Still support 90 degrees. You can shoot, the enemy does not shoot (maybe its a bug and will be corrected in other version). One more thing: if you want to get the money fast, go to the 8 tharea and stay close to you ships. If they get drown or rhe enemy you can quickly pick the goods up. You will be able to get around 300 gold per each game very quickly. Lets see you on the see. How good can you navigate? Good luck ;)

Great game but way to easy and quick to complete. Needs more upgrades for ships and more levels.

I found it tough to just beat the first level of 5. And needs more upgrades of weapons and armor. And more levels. Good start though and love the concept

Can be improved, but over all great game.

This game is kinda retarted.and all that ever happens is u get double teamed by every boat.

At first very difficult to complete lvl 1 but after I got the upgrades on my first ship I started kickin but. Biggest problem i have is when shooting at a combatant vs noncombatant it will set the range for nearest one in some cases not the one you want also when intending to shoot on one side of ship it will fire the other side if a target is closer again usually the noncombatant. maybe the abiltity to set your guns for range would be good also maybe tapping on one side of ship fires that sides cannons. Another idea would be to have both side able to fire seperately. Thanks 5 star effort so far.

Needs a diffaculty meau and it takes forever to earn money because an update iu usally 1000$ an the barrels you collect are 10$. But over all a great game ( but a little to expensive).

Game would be alot better if you could get past the first level...

I love it, its my addiction of the week! Its difficult and most of the time its a war of attrition. But I guess thats what its about... A lucky strike :/

Good degree of difficulty an variety of ships but only 6 areas? Each level only gets tougher enemy ships. No real goal or story, just shoot ships. Gets old fast $0.99 would be a good price. Try the lite version first. Boring to look at. Only blue ocean for a background. Needs a zoom out option to keep u from getting blown up by long rang enemy fire.

this game is amazing has very good controls very solid framerate except on the last level (lvl 8) hope it gets patched up probaly if u turn off wireless it would help but other then that great game and has been updated alot worth the money forsure buy hope this helps

Love this app! Its a lot of fun and challenging as well. Only one question; any chance of adding more levels to it with more ships???

Great game, the best boat game there is, great graphics, it would great if you lower the price to a dollar and plz add more levels thanks :)

But the controls and lack of help files is really annoying.

Ive played this game through all eight levels and have still yet to unlock all the boats..there is no mention of bonus levels in the description nor are there any hidden missions on the Sail screen where all the missions are. What I like: graphics, ease of use (tilt for steering, pressing ANYWHERE on screen to fire cannon), the look of the boats themselves and the little history background. What I didnt like: extremely repetitive process to upgrade and buy new ships (ie. the latter levels dont provide more loot since youre dealing with larger foes so you just go back to the easy level 1), each level should be progressively more difficult. I found it easier to beat level 8 with two ships by my side than I did to complete level 4 alone..hmmm. What I suggest moving forward: fix what I and everyone else dont like that is reasonable, consider allowing players to create an armada themselves (ie. not only purchase their own ship to use in battle but also others that can fight beside them at the beginning of each mission), create more levels, throw in P2P ship vs. ship would be exciting!, include more upgrade types at lower prices, include customization options for a "create yer own ship" process so a player can name their ship and take battles online against opponents around the world. Thats it and good luck :)

I beat an HMS Victory with a galleon (spanish) with only 2 lives left lol! But anyways great game! But i really want more levels and more ships in it too.

Terrible gun controls, zero "realism". Just felt ripped off with this one. If you want a good age of sail game try Tall Ships: Age of Sail.

I really like this game but it would be better with more levels and maybe even levels where you attack land forts and stuff. Could you also make some of the early ironclad warships like HMS Warrior?
